This past Saturday I participated in the Relay for life that was located here on campus in the Myers Field House. Students, faculty members, friends, and family came together to walk from 6pm to 6am around the track. During this time I participated in a three-legged race, limbo contest, and even attempted a one-on-one tug-o-war. It was a great time and enjoyed getting to know a few more Student Ambassadors as we walked the tracks together.
This past Tuesday, April 13th we had the Apple Polisher. I enjoyed seeing the teachers that have made an impact on the Ambassadors as well as hearing the stories that the Ambassadors told about them. From numerous office visits to after school help the faculty was there to help them out even if they had a giant “To Do” list of other activities.
This weekend I will be going home to Prior Lake to celebrate my twin sister’s graduation from the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute. Karen is an excellent cook and enjoys adding her own twist on recipes. I often call here when needing do add a little something to my traditional pizza or spaghetti nights at my apartment. Between Karen’s clever way to throw things together to make a delicious meal or my mother’s gift of truly defining home cooking I am always well feed and most certainly will always be there to be the taste tester or take leftovers home. ..that is if there is any to take home.
